This is an old recipe and one of my dad's favorites. These are often called "Buckeyes" and seem like a holiday staple for so many people.
My 3 favorite things about this recipe:

PB
Chocolate

How To
- Cover a baking sheet with parchment or waxed paper.
- Combine peanut butter, butter and powdered sugar in a large bowl and mix well.
- Roll in 1 Tbsp size balls, set on wax paper tray and stick a toothpick in it.
- Put in refrigerator and let chill one hour.
- Once chilled, leave in refrigerator while preparing the chocolate.
- Melt paraffin wax over medium heat in a sauce pan and then add chocolate chips and melt. As soon as the mixture is smooth and melted begin dipping peanut butter balls.
- Place chocolate covered balls on wax paper and chill again for at least one hour once all are dipped.
- You can also use chocolate melting wafers, almond bark or chocolate covered candy coating. The chocolate chips and paraffin wax tastes better to me but the others are a bit easier to keep smooth while dipping
