This is an old recipe and one of my dad's favorites. These are often called "Buckeyes" and seem like a holiday staple for so many people. My 3 favorite things about this recipe: Memories PB Chocolate

You Need

1:30
  • 1 12oz jar of crunchy or smooth peanut butter, your choice
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 12oz pkg semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 Tbsp paraffin wax
  • How To

    1. Cover a baking sheet with parchment or waxed paper.
    2. Combine peanut butter, butter and powdered sugar in a large bowl and mix well.
    3. Roll in 1 Tbsp size balls, set on wax paper tray and stick a toothpick in it.
    4. Put in refrigerator and let chill one hour.
    5. Once chilled, leave in refrigerator while preparing the chocolate.
    6. Melt paraffin wax over medium heat in a sauce pan and then add chocolate chips and melt. As soon as the mixture is smooth and melted begin dipping peanut butter balls.
    7. Place chocolate covered balls on wax paper and chill again for at least one hour once all are dipped.
    8. You can also use chocolate melting wafers, almond bark or chocolate covered candy coating. The chocolate chips and paraffin wax tastes better to me but the others are a bit easier to keep smooth while dipping
